We recently had the pleasure of dining at Catch LA, and it was an unforgettable experience that truly deserves five stars, as usual. It's one of my top places to visit while in Los Angeles, and didn't disappoint again. It's about time I write a review. Food: The food at Catch LA is simply phenomenal. We started with the Catch Roll and Truffle Sashimi - both were exquisite. The Catch Roll was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the truffle sashimi was a delightful blend of delicate fish and earthy truffle. For the main course, I had the Crispy Whole Snapper, which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The sides of truffle fries and grilled asparagus complemented the meal perfectly. Every bite was a testament to the high quality and creativity of the kitchen. Service: The service at Catch LA is top-notch. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The staff ensured our glasses were never empty and our table was always clean, all while maintaining a friendly and unobtrusive presence. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here. Atmosphere: Catch LA boasts a stunning atmosphere that combines chic elegance with a laid-back California vibe. The rooftop setting provides breathtaking views of the city, especially at sunset. The decor is trendy and sophisticated, with plenty of greenery and stylish furnishings. The ambiance is enhanced by well-curated music that adds to the overall dining experience without being overpowering.
We had dinner at Catch before a concert down the street and we were not disappointed. The staff were all kind and welcoming, from arrival to departure. The ambiance of the restaurant, with the flower "tunnel" overlooking Melrose Ave as well as the chic dining room decor, is very cool. For dinner, we had a variety of shared platters. They had a yellowfin hamachi special with ponzu sauce which was absolutely delicious. The wagyu gyoza were melt in your mouth good. The crispy chicken bao buns, while good, felt a bit one dimensional compared to the other dishes. The MRC roll, with the ponzu brown butter, was so tasty. The drinks were also quite good, and unique. I would certainly recommend Catch for an upscale sushi dining experience in West Hollywood!
This restaurant has an amazing ambiance. Placed on a roof top with great music and views. The food is solid and the service was amazing as well. Overall great experience.
Gorgeousss restaurant, good on point service and delicious food! The baked chicken was amazing, when you cut into it yummy stuff flows out from the hollowed out middle and even though I don't like stuff with bones in it, there was barely any bone and so easy to go around it
This is definitely an experience to have if you're in the area or visiting. As soon as you walk out of the elevator you're transported to a beautiful oasis overlooking Melrose blvd. Bar tenders are very attentive, as well as the servers, something about having every single staff person enjoying their job just makes the overall experience and presentation phenomenal. If it's your first time ask for their recommendations but our favorites were the Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll, catch roll, and the lobster Mac and cheese. The truffle fries, octopus and bao buns are also great sides to order. Expect small portions if you're not used to ordering sushi rolls, and expect to crave and order more after devouring them. Overall experience was amazing! Arrive early to look for parking, and walk to the restaurant, also make the reservation on OpenTable to avoid waiting outside. Will definitely be coming back.
I personally love Catch LA, when people come into town and are looking for a great place to go this is normally my first recommendation. I've come here more times that I can count and STILL love it hahaha The reason why is because Catch has a great atmosphere, amazing drinks AND the food is delicious! I was here for a graduation celebration and our server was so amazing! My top choices when coming to Catch LA is to start with the "One to many" cocktail, crispy shrimp and then the branzino. Now that I wrote this review I also have to note the Gnocchi, Kale Salad and pretzel bread! So yummy! I promise you will not be disappointed!!! It's so yummy! The table ordered other items as well and everyone loved their food!
I cannot stress enough how my service here made my night! Our waiter Tapley was absolutely wonderful. He cannot have been more pleasant fun and overall wonderful.
Stopped by early after a shopping trip to Melrose and Fairfax. Didn't have a reservation but waited in line for them to open and decided to catch bar seating. To our surprise, we were able to catch a table for two at 530 pm on a Saturday. IYKYK it's hard to do Drinks refreshing $$$ Food was tasty but in small portions. We ordered the wagyu edamame and a roll. We were in n out before the craziness, there's valet and several other parking locations. Don't recommend you parking on the St. This location is permit St parking only. At the time the ambiance was just right not too loud. Our server was informative and knowledgable.
I've been to Catch LA about 6 times now and it has yet to disappoint! There was one time when I got the grilled sea bass and wasn't impressed, but part of that was not being able to have the sauce due to dietary restrictions. This time, I was too excited to eat and didn't take many pictures. But I tried the king oyster mushroom sushi--so good! My salad, salmon and shrimp were amazing, per usual! Everyone in our very large group loved their food. The ambiance and vibes are also part of the experience here. It's one of those places where you dress up for a night out and a fancy dinner. The environment is great for photos. The service is always excellent here, at least from my experience.
A very Instagramable restaurant right in the heart of West Hollywood. Getting into this restaurant feels like you're getting into a club, replete with bouncer-look-alike and velvet ropes. The reservation list was like a VIP guest list. The restaurant is beautiful with an indoor garden vibe. The menu offers a wide variety of cuisines. We went with a few cut rolls, which were all delicious, but the avocado truffle roll was hands-down, the most surprisingly divine thing on the table. The proportion of rice to fish was unique and you can experience the difference right when you bite into it. They have a gluten-free menu that includes some dairy free options as well. The scallops with cauliflower was really tasty. My partner ordered a basket of truffle fries which he had to eat alone but he had no regrets. They only let you stay 90min so that can impact the vibe if you're really enjoying yourself. Tic-toc! All in all, it was a great dining experience! Highly recommend.
